Luke 5:16 tells us that "Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
This is true for us as well. Amidst all of the demands of life, all of the appointments to keep, the dinners to cook, the children to raise, the reports to complete, the paychecks to earn, and the friends to comfort or celebrate with, we sometimes need to withdraw.
This might be a weekend away by yourself.
Or even half an hour on a weekend to retreat to a comfy chair with a book and lock the door behind you.
Whatever your "rest" looks like, be sure it is to reenergize and revitalize you. Give yourself space and time to be spiritually rejuvenated and grounded again.
